This September you can give children in Fiji the best chance at a bright future by raising funds when you take part in Charlie's Challenge. Grow your own chilli , compete with your mates or colleagues to see who can grow the healthiest plant; Get your friends and family to show support by making a donation and the money you raise will go to children in Fiji - making sure they get the best chance for a bright future.

Sign up online to receive your GrowKit. Your kit contains everything you need to grow red including your chilli seeds, soil pellets and pot.
Create a fundraising profile and share your page with friends and family, asking them to donate to the cause! Keep them updated on your growing journey.
The money you raise is sent to Fiji where it is spent on farming projects to ensure families can grow enough food to eat and sell for money to send their children to school.
We'll keep you updated on the children you're supporting so you can see and share the impact of your hard work, to all your supporters.
HOW IT WORKS
3. Get your friends and family to support you by making donations directly to your fundraiser page. We'll send you updates every time you reach a fundraising milestone.
4. Race day! After your race, we'll keep you up to date about how the money you raised is helping kids in the Pacific.

1. Sign up to be a fundraiser and get free registration to the ASB Auckland marathon when you commit to raising $1,000.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR HELP?
Many Kiwis know Fiji for it's beautiful beaches and mid-winter getaways, but most of us don't know that 45% of Fijian locals live below the poverty line. Save the Children works with locals to ensure they can grow enough food to feed their families and afford to send their children to school. The money you raise will stop children from going hungry and give them the education so crucial for their future.
In 2019 we're committed to raising $50,000 for Fijian families on Ra and Koro Island. The New Zealand Government is willing to help out. This means for every dollar you raise New Zealand will give $4 to Fijian families and communities in need.
New Zealand Matched Funding
Charlie is the little figure in the Save the Children logo. Charlie could be a boy or a girl anywhere in the world.
They may need food, shelter or medicine but wherever they are and whatever their circumstances, all we need to know is that they are a child. With your help, we'll be doing our best to give them a better life.
